Pumpkin Head Harvey

Jason and I went with Ansley's preschool class to Begg's Family Farm last week for a fun fieldtrip.  It was a really windy day (as you will see from all the crazy hair pics), but there were loads of activities for the kids to enjoy.  We first took a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch and when we returned (it was too muddy to go into the patch) the kiddos got to pick out a pumpkin to take with them.  Most of the parents tagged along, so it was nice to have some adult interaction while the kids were playing.

Whitney and Lynlee on the buggies. Heather and I were rolling! Seriously. Lynlee's long legs were just a flapping while Whitney pedaled.  It was such a good belly laugh!

Little Sonic (Maksim) had us flying around the corners! This also was such a great laugh.  I was so tickled by the whole thing (Maksim's legs going 90 to nothing, Heather hunched over the steering wheel like she was a racecar driver, and me trying to keep from hitting them from behind and I had no clue where the brake was)!  It was a scream.  

Next up, the jumping pad. I think Ansley and Maksim were racing. :)

So thankful that Jason got to take a day off to enjoy the day with us.  He always makes life so much fun and I love to have these family memories.

St. Louis part 2

Zoo day! My parents have been wanting to take Ansley and Jansen to the zoo for quite some time and the Clarksville weekend was the perfect opportunity.  We went on a beautiful fall Sunday (so much better than the zoo in the hot summer) and enjoyed the day so much.

Great day at the zoo! It was so fun to go with family and a nice end to the weekend.

St. Louis part 1

We have been out of town so much lately!  It's been soooo fun and really what our little family needed, but I'm anxious to not have anywhere to be. Ha!  A couple of weeks ago we, along with my mom's family, went to Clarksville to visit some our extended family.  We took the girls and also planned a trip to the zoo on Sunday.  Saturday was all about seeing my great-cousin's farmhouse and spending some quality with all of them.  They are all so neat! And the house and farm was so beautiful tucked away in the middle of some fields.  It was an absolutely gorgeous setting!  Ansley and the kiddos enjoyed the freedom of not being anywhere close to a major road and roamed the grounds as their little curiosities led them.  First stop was this old wagon that Ansley and Jansen loved to jump around in.

The wrap around porch was so nice and we all just mingled and relaxed on it. My great aunt Shirley (my grandpa Milford's sister) was sitting next to my Aunt Debbie.  She is the matriarch of the Clarksville/St. Louis family. :)

Here is Jeff, my dad, and Charli.  This beautiful place belongs to Jeff and his wife who is currently traveling on business in Europe.  Must be nice!

After eating, talking, and playing in the hot tub, we walked the farm.  Ansley loved the goats.  We almost took a few home. They were so sweet. Ha! 

I'm sure the goats were ready to get rid of us after Jeff wanted to see Shelby tie one up (she used to rope calves).

Next we visited the beautiful barn.  It was immaculant!

This cracks me up.  Ansley and her princess swimsuit up her hiney.  This picture pretty much sums up our Miss A. She's an adventuresome girly girl!

Jason spotted the most perfect buckeye and decided to scale the tree.  It absolutely scared me to death.  I was not amused, but definitely amazed by his burliness AFTER he returned to the ground ;) 

And a crazy 4-wheeler ride with Jason.  We just about fell off the back!  

After a fun day at Jeff's, it was time to call it a night.

It was so great to be with our extended family!

Jason has had several conferences lately (one in St. Louis and one in Branson) and thankfully I've been able to tag along with him!  We have really needed the time away and it's been so good for our little souls!

We stayed at the Hilton across from the landing and I was amazed.  The hotel was stunning and I definitely didn't feel like I was in Branson!  

For our first dinner out, we went to the White River Fish House.

The next day I did some shopping while Jason went to his conference (just a little bit of retail therapy).  I love the Branson Landing!  It is so neat overlooking the water and so peaceful walking the little strip of shops.

And this place my friends, was my favorite place to eat.  Cantina Laredo.  So delish!

Our last evening there we saw the show, Joseph at the Sight and Sound Theatre and we were amazed!  It was such a wonderful show full of great singing, impressive scenes, and most importantly, the message of forgiveness was conveyed.  We absolutely loved it!

After the show, we both had a sweet tooth and decided to head back to Cantina Laredo for dessert.  It was seriously the best desserts ever!  They set them on fire at our table and we devoured them in minutes. Uh, so good!

We had a great time in Branson.  We hated to even leave, but missed the girls a lot too!  This was Jason bringing a load in from the car.  Wowza!

Can't wait for our next trip, but it was so nice to be home!

My Gram and Krista in Missouri!

A few weeks ago my only living grandparent, Grammy Booth and my cousin, Krista came to visit.  It was so exciting to have them here!  We try to see our Pennsylvania family (my dad's side) once a year or so.  Thankfully it has worked out great because we've had lots of big events in the past couple of years...weddings, babies, and family vacations.  Next year, we'll have our last wedding to attend-ah!  My cousin, Nate will be getting married in June, so we'll all make a trek to be there for the celebration.

This trip was for them to meet our newest addition, Charli and of course, visit with the rest of the family too.  It's so sad we don't live closer. I love my PA fam!

We decided to take a four wheeler ride and my Gram came along!  Seriously, she's the coolest, most active, 80 year old you'll find.  She hopped right on and wasn't scared a bit with me going fast!

Ready to ride the farm!  We started at the cabin, rode to my parent's rental house that's being remodeled, to the lake site, and through some of the fields.  It was a blast (and we saw an armadillo. Ha!).

We tried to do some fun stuff while they were in town.  We ate at Lambert's and Watami (now one of my favorite places to eat), went to the fair one evening and visited my brother's conservation pavilion, relaxed at Steele Crest Winery one afternoon, and some shopping.  Let me just say, we stayed busy!

We had lunch at Steele Crest Winery in Jackson.  It was such a beautiful day and the band was great! 

Ansley found a little friend while we were there and she played the entire afternoon with her.  Krista got her to stop for a second to get a picture.

Right before we left, Gram and Ansley had a little talk.  My gram always likes to ask questions and she's so knowledgeable about all kinds of subjects.  It makes me sad that we don't live closer because I feel like I can talk to her about a lot of different things.  The same goes for the rest of the Booth family, we just have an indescribable bond only separated by a mere 1000 miles :). Ansley felt that same bond. Every morning she asked to see "Gwammy Boof and Kwista"

Our visit to see Uncle Kyle at the fair. He showed us some pretty big snakes! Ansley wasn't the least bit scared. Imagine that.

So glad to have my Booth family in town.  We already miss them so much!

       

Charli Suttyn: 3 Months

Charli Suttyn is 3 Months!!!

I can't even begin to tell you how much this little girl has brightened up our lives at the mere age of 3 months.  Seriously, she is PRECIOUS.

*You are such a smiley little thing. Keep 'em coming, sweet girl.  We love how you light up a room.

*You aren't a big fan of tummy time, but I can usually get you to squirm like a worm for about 5 minutes. :)

*You are not a big pooper, which Dr. Hoffman is not even concerned with, surprisingly.  Most commonly, you poop once a week (crazy, but update worthy).

*You are a star sleeper!  At 12 weeks, you are a 9 to 9 baby-I'll take 12 hours of good sleep! Thank you very much.

*We love to watch you clasp your little hands in front of you!  A 3 month milestone-yay!

*You are in a size 1 diaper and soon will be in a 2.  You've got such a cute little hiney! :)

*Your little talking has turned into a full-on convo. You love to hear yourself coo and so do we.  So precious!

*Rolling over seems like it's getting closer and closer. You like to crane your next over to the side and usually this is the position I find you in every morning.  I always feel like you've got to have neck ache.

*We still swaddle you up, arms and all and you love it.  Sometimes you take a paci when you start to go to sleep, but most of the time you refuse to take one.  You love to smack around on your hands and occasionally find a finger.  We're still waiting to see if we have another thumb sucker. :)

You are such a content, easy going little baby!  So thankful for the joy that you've brought to our lives.  You are a gem, Charli Suttyn!
