Not For A Moment Will You Forsake Me

This video is of my sweet friend, Heather and I singing a song that is extra special to me and I'm pretty sure Heather is hooked on it now too!
Lord, I know even in my sad and lonely days, you have not and will not forsake me! So thankful for that truth.
Grammy Booth, I hope you enjoy

Charli Suttyn: 5 Months

*You are a little rolly polly these days.  You hike your little leg over and then over you go!  The first time you rolled you were 4 months and 1 week while we were in Gatlinburg for the weekend.  It was so funny to see your surprised face after you accomplished this big feat.  Back to belly is your favorite move now!

*I love to hear your squeals and you are still squealing away!  They are just precious.  Your big sis always says "I love that little sound, Charli" and then my heart melts.  She's so good with you.

*Everything goes straight to your mouth...hands, shoulders, knees and toes.  Ha!  You love to gnaw on your hands, toes, and everyone else's shoulders when we're holding you. :) We are ALL usually covered in drool when it's all said and done.

*Your favorite toy is Sophie!  We borrowed her from Brynn and you love to chomp on her ears and feet.  I can now attest that she is the best chew toy ever!

*Somehow your grins and smiles get bigger and brighter every day.  They are just simply heart warming.

*You and your daddy are pretty tight.  There's nothing that makes me happier than seeing my 3 loves curled up together and you are always 'nuggled in his arms just right and as content as can be. :)

*Bathtime is still one of your favorite times, but shortly we will be moving you out of the sink and into the tub.  Your long legs are a LITTLE overcrowded in our big laundry room sink, but you don't seem to mind.  Your arms and legs are non-stop when you're in there!

*Your love for Ansley is displayed more and more everyday.  You love to laugh at her, play with her hair (or pull it :)), and snuggle with her.

*You love to take your binkie in and out of your mouth now.  It's your new trick and we love to watch your concentration as you master it!

*Our favorite names for you....Turkey, Sugar (Ansley's name), Sis, and Lil Bit

Charli, we are so thankful that God has entrusted you to our family.  You are such a sweet, bubbly little baby and you make our lives so full and fun.  Just when we think it can't get any better....it does.

My Birthday!

I'm gonna party like it's my birthday! 31 years and I'm on the downward slide. Ha! Nah! It was a very low-key kind of birthday, which was so nice.  We went to dinner with my family one night and Jason planned an evening of fun as well (we still will have a birthday dinner with Jason's family on Wednesday).  I was so pumped to eat some good food and be with family and friends!
It's hard to get a great picture of the girl's, but here's our try!
Me, Ansley, and Jansen
Jason got this crew together to head to the big town of Kelso to eat at Ray's.  I was so excited!!
I love Whitney's face
The hot hubby and I ;)
So thankful for my hubs. He planned a fun evening with friends even when deer season was in full swing! What a sweetheart!

Loved my birthday celebrations and there's more to come. Woo hoo!

Princess Tea

We got tickets to the Southeast Health Princess Tea and Ansley was thrilled to go.  I made sure NOT to spill the excitement to her until it was time to go (just in case something were to happen or come up) because I knew if I even mentioned the word PRINCESS and we were NOT able to go, she would have a meltdown (we seem to be a touch on the dramatic side of things these days)!  Thankfully, it all worked out and she wore her Cinderella dress after some coaxing to not wear the Rosetta dress.  She's obsessed with that one.  All the princesses were in attendance as well as some VERY special little princesses.  It was so sweet to see all the little girls and their mommas so excited about this event.  Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Tinkerbell, Beauty, Rapunzel, Jasmine, Cinderella, and Ariel were all there.  They looked spectacular too (I even found myself in disbelief)!
All the princesses sang a song together
This was her excitement!
Ansley got Cinderella painted on her face. She was thrilled!
Here my princess is with her little autograph book waiting in line
This Prince Charming has NOTHING on her daddy!

LOVE.
One last picture by the Tinkerbell flag before heading out
We had such a fun time seeing all the princesses and we will DEFINITELY be heading back next year with Charli in tow.  She asks daily if she "could go to that won pwace with all da pwincesses and tea".  LOVE.

Halloween Fun: The Year of the Fairies :)

Thanks to Pamaw's fabulous garage sale find, Miss Ansley had the perfect Rosetta fairy costume to wear for Halloween.  We have GOBS of princess dresses and even a beautiful Tinkerbell costume hanging in her closet, but what does A want to wear?  Pamaw's $3 treasure, that's what. :)  It is her favorite!  Apparently there's a new fairy in town, Tinkerbell!
She found the Block Party stash of candy and was secretly helping herself.  Ellie joined in too. :)
Ansley was so happy to see these girls!
And what are the odds that these two would both be fairies?!
And what's going on with that side stance?!
I love this one!
Baby Brynn looked snuggly in her ladybug costume.
Love this girl
Ansley and Brynny were in rare form
It was FREEZING outside and our kid is the one that refused to put tights or a jacket of any sort on. I kept asking, "are you cold yet?"
"No, mom I'm fine!" And somehow, I didn't see her shiver all night!
Ansley and Bella sat in the wagon together and just giggled.
After getting home we attempted a few pictures of the girls because Charli had slept most of the evening and we HAD to have one of Charli.  However, this girl was hungry and didn't want to have any part in the picture taking process.
I mean...full on BAWL!
And then, like a switch....she let out the biggest smiles!
It was so funny
So we got a few of the little turkey while she was practically giddy.
Love my little fam
Jason tried to get all snazzy with the camera angle. Ha!
One last one of our tiny fairy princess
Ansley is already talking about next Halloween and the crazy thing is Charli will most likely be talking by then.  Wow.  Life is like a vapor.

Good Ole Rocky Top!

We had the privilege of going to Gatlinburg, TN to see Kyle and spend a little QT in the Smokies a couple of weeks ago.  Pam and Rick rented a gorgeous, 4 bedroom cabin near the strip and we stayed from Friday to Tuesday.  I've never been there before and let me just say, wow.  It was breathtaking!  And our cabin was amazing.  I wish I had taken more pictures of it because it's just hard to describe.  Each family had our own floor (Rick and Pam on the main level, Jason and I in the loft, Ryan and Whit downstairs and Kyle had his own room down there too). There was a beautiful stone fireplace, a pool table upstairs overlooking the living area, a Jacuzzi in our bedroom (how Jason and I lucked into that one, I don't know!), an entertaining area and bar downstairs, and a hot tub on the deck.  How great does that sound?!  Ah!  I want to go back!  We were minutes from Dollywood and each of us had passes to come and go as we pleased.  We shopped, ate, and relaxed.  Jason and I could not stop saying how great it was to just have uninterrupted time with the girls, to not stay in a hotel but be with everyone and have our separate spaces all at the same time, and have fun trips planned for the day.  It was perfect.
These girls sure did like Dollywood!
An overlook near our hiking area
We're almost up to the falls! Whew!
Finally there!

Charli with her hat on cracks me up
The next morning it was our turn to cook breakfast, so we made omelets...or should I say, Jason was the omelet master.  He was even flipping them in the pan and they were soooo yummy.  I was impressed!
The brothers
It was a rainy day, so we went to the aquarium and the girls really had a good time.  Look at those chubby cheeks.  This girl just went along for the ride!
Ansley trying to do her Vanna White pose
She looks scared, but I think she was anxious to see the next little creature
Rick took Ansley into this tunnel that ended up in the penguin exhibit.  It was so neat! The kiddos loved it.
Then Jason took Brynn and Ansley in.
Here's the tunnel they crawled through.
How fun is that?!

Again, just chillin.

Stingrays with Daddy
Kyle took care of Bea

Then the BIG kids went to Dollywood to ride the rides.  Woo hoo! So fun!
Whit and I before one of the wooden coasters.
This almost made me pee my pants
It was misting the whole time we were there, but there were NO lines.  We had the park to ourselves. It was so great to get away and not worry about the girls.  They were happy as larks to be with Pamaw and Pappaw at the cabin.
That night we ate at Mellow Mushroom.  Numnumyum.
In front of the infamous lava lamp fireplace
We headed home on Tuesday, but before we did we headed to Dollywood for one last hoorah.
Daddy and Ansley in line for the cars
She was so excited to drive
The only problem...she wanted a pink car.  But I guess blue will do.
Next up, the carousel.  Jason looks thrilled.
She picked the horse with the mermaid on the side, of course.
Gatlinburg was so fun and we're already trying to plan another trip soon.  Ansley will ask us weekly if we can go back to "the cabin and that one place, Dowwywood where Pamaw and Pappaw took us".  I love that we are making these sweet memories.
