Charli Suttyn: 4 Months

Charli Suttyn you are our dream come true!  You are growing so fast.  The past 4 months have flown by, but we're loving every minute with your joyful personality!
*This month we took a trip to the St. Louis zoo with the Booth and Bollinger crews and you were such a great baby.  You just trucked along in your stroller and enjoyed the animals with the rest of us.

*I love nursing time when you rub on my chest.  It's so precious.  I call it your sweet love pat.

*You love to kick and flail your arms when you're lying on your back.  You practically kick your way off your changing table these days. It's your version of break dancing, only cuter.  Ha!

*You are intentionally reaching for toys in front of you now and bringing them straight to your mouth!  The drool is starting!

*You are still such a smiler and such a happy baby. Your smiles are on command and still one of the best parts of my day.

*I love your little lips!  I happen to think they are pretty perfect.

*You are still enjoying bath-time.  You just smile and coo and you always make it such a sweet time.

*You and your big sis are already so close.  I love to see both of you interacting with each other.  Ansley loves to make you laugh and you think she is soooo funny!

*When you wake up, you usually coo and carry on for quite some time.  You're always smiling and laughing when I come in to get you.  It's such a great way to start our day together.

*You still loved to be swaddled and then we all usually snuggle in bed together before putting you and Ansley down for the night.  Our snuggle time is one of our favorite parts of the day and a memory we will always cherish.

*You have starting this adorable gurgle sound when you're happy and trying to talk to us.  We love to joke that you will be able to master Daddy's impression of Chewbaccah one day. :)

We are seriously smitten with you Charli Suttyn.  Your smiles make our days brighter and you are such a joy to love on.

Pumpkin Head Harvey

Jason and I went with Ansley's preschool class to Begg's Family Farm last week for a fun fieldtrip.  It was a really windy day (as you will see from all the crazy hair pics), but there were loads of activities for the kids to enjoy.  We first took a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch and when we returned (it was too muddy to go into the patch) the kiddos got to pick out a pumpkin to take with them.  Most of the parents tagged along, so it was nice to have some adult interaction while the kids were playing.
Here's some of Ansley's friends from school
Lynlee, Ellie, and Ans
Ansley picking out her pumpkin
I will be so sad if we loose those curls one day
Whitney and Lynlee on the buggies. Heather and I were rolling! Seriously. Lynlee's long legs were just a flapping while Whitney pedaled.  It was such a good belly laugh!
Of course, Ansley wanted to ride with Miss Header!
Here we are racing around the track
Little Sonic (Maksim) had us flying around the corners! This also was such a great laugh.  I was so tickled by the whole thing (Maksim's legs going 90 to nothing, Heather hunched over the steering wheel like she was a racecar driver, and me trying to keep from hitting them from behind and I had no clue where the brake was)!  It was a scream.
Next up, the jumping pad. I think Ansley and Maksim were racing. :)
How cute are these two?!
Little jumpin' bean
Lynlee and Ansley loved this slide
And they all loved this sandbox, of course.  Ansley was covered in it and carried sand throughout our entire house when she got home!
Sweet Westin and Heather
J and A coming down the BIG slide
My face explains how bumpy it was!
This cracks me up!
She finally went by herself!
Sonya, Ellie, and Ansley (she kinda butted in their picture ;) Ha!)
Our family pic before we left in the BIG CHAIR.  Poor Charli had been covered in a blanket for most of the chilly day and she finally got to poke her head out for a picture. :)
So thankful that Jason got to take a day off to enjoy the day with us.  He always makes life so much fun and I love to have these family memories.

Tiny Prints Christmas Cards and a Giveaway!!!!

I know it sounds crazy early for me to start talking about Christmas, but before we know it, we'll all be taking our family pictures in preparation for our 2012 Christmas cards.  Wow.  I can't even believe it's almost time for mittens, hot chocolate and snuggling by the fire! Yay!

For the past several years I've used online companies for my Christmas cards and this year is no different.  I will be using Tiny Prints after being so incredibly pleased with my card from last year.  Here was last year's card....

Honestly, I'm not sure how I could love a Christmas card any more than I do this one (besides the fact that our little Charli Suttyn is not in it).  It just makes me so happy!

As you can see their products have this custom look that is unforgettable and their prices are so reasonable.  Today as I was browsing, I noticed so many adorable Christmas cards with their colorful, designer looks.  They have new tri-folds, ornament hanging cards, and your traditional photo cards.  It was nearly impossible for me to choose my new favorite!  I absolutely love the quality of Tiny Prints and can't wait to order our Christmas Cards for this year!

And here's the fun part......

I get to do a giveaway for $50 dollars off your total order!!!!
(This does not include shipping and cannot be combined with any other promo codes)
Woo hoo!!

All you need to do is comment what your favorite Christmas song is and I'll randomly pick a winner.  So let's get to it!!!
Giveaway ends Friday, October 27th.

Being a music lover, I can't wait to see your entries and most importantly, give away a fantastic prize!

St. Louis part 2

Zoo day! My parents have been wanting to take Ansley and Jansen to the zoo for quite some time and the Clarksville weekend was the perfect opportunity.  We went on a beautiful fall Sunday (so much better than the zoo in the hot summer) and enjoyed the day so much.
Our little crew on the train
The big kids made it pretty entertaining. Ha!
They rode the carousel with Ansley too.  Love these girls.
And Macy is so good with Ansley.  She's like a little momma.
Had to have some cotton candy!
And ride a goat!
Two of my favorite peeps
Great day at the zoo! It was so fun to go with family and a nice end to the weekend.

St. Louis part 1

We have been out of town so much lately!  It's been soooo fun and really what our little family needed, but I'm anxious to not have anywhere to be. Ha!  A couple of weeks ago we, along with my mom's family, went to Clarksville to visit some our extended family.  We took the girls and also planned a trip to the zoo on Sunday.  Saturday was all about seeing my great-cousin's farmhouse and spending some quality with all of them.  They are all so neat! And the house and farm was so beautiful tucked away in the middle of some fields.  It was an absolutely gorgeous setting!  Ansley and the kiddos enjoyed the freedom of not being anywhere close to a major road and roamed the grounds as their little curiosities led them.  First stop was this old wagon that Ansley and Jansen loved to jump around in.
I could hardly pry her from it
The wrap around porch was so nice and we all just mingled and relaxed on it. My great aunt Shirley (my grandpa Milford's sister) was sitting next to my Aunt Debbie.  She is the matriarch of the Clarksville/St. Louis family. :)
Jason and my brother
Here is Jeff, my dad, and Charli.  This beautiful place belongs to Jeff and his wife who is currently traveling on business in Europe.  Must be nice!
The Beel's and my SIL, Laura
After eating, talking, and playing in the hot tub, we walked the farm.  Ansley loved the goats.  We almost took a few home. They were so sweet. Ha!
I'm sure the goats were ready to get rid of us after Jeff wanted to see Shelby tie one up (she used to rope calves).
She caught him!
Next we visited the beautiful barn.  It was immaculant!
This tac room puts ours to shame. You could have eaten off the floor!
The old boat was a hit too.
This cracks me up.  Ansley and her princess swimsuit up her hiney.  This picture pretty much sums up our Miss A. She's an adventuresome girly girl!
Picking up buckeyes together by the creek
Jason spotted the most perfect buckeye and decided to scale the tree.  It absolutely scared me to death.  I was not amused, but definitely amazed by his burliness AFTER he returned to the ground ;)
And a crazy 4-wheeler ride with Jason.  We just about fell off the back!
After a fun day at Jeff's, it was time to call it a night.
Here's the group shot of all of us minus the Sawyers and the Bollingers, they left before we took the picture :(.
It was so great to be with our extended family!
