BB To The Rescue!

Ansley and I traveled to St. Louis today to shop and visit with my best friend, Sheri and her little girl, Aslyn. However, our little shopping trip didn't quite turn out as planned. Right in the middle of Homegoods (one of my most favorite stores), I suddenly felt really ill. The kind of ill that stops you in your tracks and requires you to frantically search for a bathroom! I'm sure everyone would agree getting sick is never any fun...getting sick two hours from home with an 18 week old baby and no one to help you...tragic. I managed to make it home without too many pit-stops and to my surprise my dad was waiting for me in the driveway with 7up and chicken noodle soup. How's that for an awesome dad? He knew that Jason was at Judgement House for the evening and that I would be at home wrangling Ansley by myself, so he came to help out. I am so blessed! Thanks dad!

Mimi's Birthday!

So...my mom just celebrated her 55th birthday and it happened to be while we were in San Francisco. She was watching Ansley that day while we were out of town and was also supposed to be at work (my aunt Debbie was going to watch her, but was sick that day). Since Ansley is not quite of the age to take care of herself ;), she was my mom's assistant for the day. Shh...don't tell her boss! Here's a few pictures from my mom's big day and Ansley's big work day. Happy Birthday Mom! Thank you for your unconditional love! Ansley in the office with my mom...sleeping.

I Left My Heart in San Francisco!

I did...I really did. Jason and I traveled to San Francisco this weekend with our friends Alex and Meredith and absolutely loved it! Jason and Alex were there on business, but we took a few extra days to see the city and all it had to offer. It was a blast! Did I say that already?

Our trip went a little like this: Friday evening we arrived at our hotel, Park 55 and chatted in the hotel restaurant until about 2:00 a.m. Good times!

Saturday we slept in...ah...delightful! We met for breakfast at a Jazz Bistro and took the trolley to the Fisherman's Wharf where we saw many interesting things. The first exciting sight was the sea lions at Pier 39, nothing I can say will sufficiently describe this experience....it was disturbing and addicting all at the same time (more to come on that). We saw many street performers and many halloween costumes (some were not costumes :)). The other sites included: Alcatrez...a beautiful sight of the Bay, Lombard street (curviest street in the world), the Museum of Fine Arts, Sausilito...an amazing, quaint waterfront community, and an overlook of the city that was to die for (thanks to our tour guide/cab driver, Stephen)!

Sunday: Jason ran the U.S. Half Marathon (only Jason would think to find an organized run...it's a dream of his to run a race in all 50 states). After meeting up with Jason after the race, we changed hotels (the conference was at Hotel Nikko) and took a guided tour of the Sonoma/Napa Valley wineries. There was lots of fun had by all! It was so interesting to see how they produce all the different wines right there on location and the scenery was pretty amazing! Later on that evening, we had a dinner reception and then hopped over to a fun/hole-in-the-wall sushi restaurant. The sushi was yummy!

Monday: The boys had to actually do some work, so they went to their conference, while Meredith and I played all day! We did some serious shopping and got a few fun items for ourselves (for some reason I have a hard time doing that) and Christmas presents for family. That evening we had another dinner reception and ate at an italian restaurant in Little Italy and ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery...so good! Whew!
To sum it up, it was a fabulous trip and we hope we have the opportunity to go back! Maybe we can take Ansley with us next time...she was definitely missed! Pictures are coming soon!

Lilo!

My good friend Lilo was in town recently and we were able catch up over dinner. It was so good to see her! We have such fun reminiscing when we get together...it usually consists of us laughing over our days at Missouri Baptist or high school adventures. We always have a few good laughs. Here are a few pictures from our visit...of course, Ansley Harper was photographed. I know you're surprised!

Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch!

This past Sunday we spent the evening hanging out with my family. Mimi and BB brought stew over and Laura and Jason made grilled cheese sandwiches while the rest of us doted on Ansley. We tried to get a few pictures of Ansley in the pumpkin patch, but it was getting a little dark. I wish I had a video to show how crazy my mom was acting to try and get Ansley to smile before the sun went down...it was hilarious! Here are a few from the evening...

How cute is she?!

MIZ....ZOU!

We had a fun time Saturday hanging out with Whitney and Ryan for the Mizzou game. Of course, little Ansley had to show some Mizzou spirit in her chearleading outfit for her die-hard Mizzou alumni family-Aunt Whitney and Uncle Ryan! This is all for them....

and two for me....:)
