Busy, busy Bandermanns!

Whoa.  It's been a busy couple of days around here!  The thunderstorms have been trying to keep us from enjoying ourselves....but we don't care about baseball-size hail, floods, or tornadoes!  Ha!  Ok seriously...at times it's been a little scary.  But we continue to get some good family time in during it all.

Turkey season is in full swing, so of course, Jason was out for the first day and got one!  Ansley was so excited (as you can see from the picture) that Daddee brought home a big gobbler!  Since Jason's hunt, she's said for days...."Ansley see turkeeeey!"
I had to get lots of pictures of my 2 turkeys!

The Easter egg hunts have been pretty popular with Ansley this week.  We've got more plastic eggs lying around than I know what to do with!  Ansley's preschool lab friends put on a hunt and then let her eat the chocolate while I was out running errands.  Needless to say, Ansley was even more spunky than usual when I returned.  She sure had a fun time finding the eggs with Mrs. Cathy!

This is Ansley's new "smile for the camera" face.  I usually have a hard time keeping a straight face after the lip curl and eye squint!
One of my favorite little boutiques in town, Bloom was having a visit from the Easter bunny Saturday.  Because we took Ansley last year, we had to make another trip this year to see what she thought of him.  The pictures don't quite show it, but she was NOT a fan.  However, after leaving...he's ALL she wanted to talk about!  Of course, that's how it went with Santa too.

My two favorite people snuggling after having an overload of cookies and milk.  I think Ansley still has a mouth full in this picture.

Friday night our church put on the first-ever Good Friday service, which was a huge hit!  It was such an amazing night of reflection of the sacrifice that our Risen Savior made for each one of us!  Wow.  What a night!  My sweet friend, Heather and I were asked to sing "Blessed Redeemer" by Casting Crowns at the end of the service.  Even though we were crazy nervous...it went well!  It was such an honor to be asked and I hope that God was glorified through it.  Ansley is still singing Besssed Reeeemer to the top of her lungs!  =)

Our Easter picture this year!  After a wonderful church service this morning, we headed out to the cabin to see my family.  We had another Easter egg hunt (the rain kept this one inside) and lots of food!  Yes!
I love this picture....Ansley was giving the funniest faces to my family while we were trying to get a picture.
And this one melts my heart!
Ansley next to her lifesize Easter bunny smiling ear to ear!
Ansley and Jansen got lawn chairs for Easter from Mimi and BB.  They loved them!
Of course, she needed to prop her tired feet up!
Next up....Aunt Soni's house for yet another egg hunt with Jason's family!  Wowsa.
This girl knows how to hunt for a good egg!  She found a money egg!
Happy Easter from the Bandermanns!

Christmas at the Bandermanns continued

I think I've probaby said it too much, but this Christmas was so exciting!  Top reason was because of Ansley, of course.  She can be such a hoot sometimes and this Christmas was no different.  She got gifts galore and after opening every gift, she'd give a big "gasp"!  It was so fun to watch her.  Here are a few from our Christmas at the Bandermanns.
This is Ansley trying to either be silly (she does this head roll with her eyes closed) or maybe getting ready to pray? Not sure which.
She loved pulling off the wrapping paper with dad
Oh!  That Bitty Baby was the best gift ever!
Ryan and Whitney opening Kyle's great gift.  Pink Uggs for Ansley and Brynn!
If you can't tell, I'm pretty excited about the perfect brownie pan...so is Whit!
Pam loves hers, so we both got one!

Can't wait until baby Brynn is here to celebrate Christmas with Ansley!

This year Jason's family got together at Aunt Kim's house.  Ansley had lots of fun stuff including some pink cowgirl boots!  She is way too cute in them!  And her favorite gift was definitely the singing bear from GG.  Anything that sings is a hit with Ansley!

She wasn't quite sure about the boots...she was too preoccupied with the bear.
We had such a good time this year with family.  We feel so blessed!

Destin, Baby!

Our little family was able to enjoy the oil lined beaches of Destin, Florida this past week with our friends, the Ewaskos and little Bandermanns.  Just kidding about the oil lined beaches, it was BEAUTIFUL (contrary to a lot of the reports I received before going)!  We had an eventful, yet relaxing stay at the Seascape Resort and ate enough crab legs to flounder an army!
Ansley was a little out of her element there...the 12 hour trip in the new car seat was a little aggravating (she couldn't quite recline) and she suddenly decided she didn't want to eat the food I brought for her.  She also realized that sand didn't taste good or feel good in the eyes either :)!  We definitely learned that taking a one year old on a beach trip would not be the smartest idea next time!  Oh well, you live and learn!  No matter what, she's still a joy, even when she's fussy (I'm not sure our friends would say the same-ha)!
Our days were mostly spent relaxing by the pool, sun-bathing at the beach, golfing (Whit and the boys played), lounging in our condo, eating at some great seafood restaurants, taking an adventure at a small village called Baytown Wharf (Whit and I), and antique shopping.  It was all-in-all a great trip!  We had a fun time with Ansley at the pool once she got used to the water, seeing Alex and Ansley cuddle was so sweet, and spending time with friends that we absolutely LOVE was a blast!  Here are some pictures from our trip.

We all did the balcony pictures when we got there :)
We had a gorgeous view of the turquoise water!

 Ansley ready for the pool
She looked like our little boxer
She had fun playing in the sand....
Until it looked good enough to eat!
Next morning...Ansley and Alex watched some toons.
Ansley's bedhead cracks me up!

Our beautiful pool

Of course, she loved running around the pool!

Love this one!

Dinner at Hog's Breath.  I know...sounds appetizing.
Alex wanted all kinds of kisses from Ansley!

Ansley loved the beach in the evening!
She loved the wind blowing in her face and the water rolling up to her toes!
Precious little footprints

Ok...really goofy picture!

Yay!  Destin was so fun!
Can't wait to get back!
